APPOINTMENTS Shri A. Anbarasu, IAS has been appointed as Managing Director of Pondicherry Industrial Promotion Development and Investment Corporation Ltd. (PIPDIC) vice Shri Sanjiv Kumar.  Smt. Lida Jacob, IAS has been appointed as Managing Director of Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC) vice Shri Pradeep Kumar.  Dr. Bimal Jalan, Governor of Reserve Bank of India, has been granted extension in services for a period of two years till November 22, 2002.  Dr. Sailendra Narain has been appointed Chairman & Managing Director, SIDBI. He was previously its Managing Director.  Shri S.S. Kohli has been appointed as Chairman and Managing Director of Punjab National Bank. He was previously CMD, of Punjab and Sind Bank.  Shri B. Samal has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director of Allahabad Bank. He was formerly the Executive Director of the same Bank.  Shri V. Leeladhar has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Union Bank. He was previously the Executive Director of the same Bank.  Former Chairman of State Bank of India Shri M.S. Verma has been appointed as the Chairman of the reconstituted Telecom Regulatory Authority of India.  Shri Horst Koehler has been elected as the new Managing Director of International Monetary Fund. Shri Koehler, a German national, who is currently President of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), will succeed Michael Camdessus.
