BANASTHALI VIDYAPITH (DEEMED UNIVERSITY), RAJASTHAN The Institute runs a DBT-sponsored 2 years’ M.Sc. programme in Biotechnology. As part of M.Sc. curricula, the students carry out an extensive Project Dissertation on a suitable problem related to Biotechnology. The Department also has a Ph.D. Programme and Ph.D. students carry out research in various disciplines of Biotechnology. Further, there are sponsored research projects with teaching faculty of the department. Collaborative work with local/nearby institutions and industries such as Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Banasthali Vidyapith, Central Sheep Wool Research Institute, Avikanagar, Durgapura (Jaipur) Agriculture Research Centre and others with an idea to carry out research on rural biotechnology-based problems is also in progress.
